Sounds, Consistency, Urgency, Patches

Most all the sounds in the game are satisfying, accurate, and give enough volume to portray what they're trying to convey. Very few sounds feel weak, out of place from the rest, except one in particular. The M9, our sidearm, it almost sounds like a melee noise or that it's suppressed. It feels very out of place and severely underwhelming. While sure it may not be as lethal, large or loud as our long arms, it is still a lethal weapon more then capable of eliminating threats, especially in close quarters. Handguns alone are plenty loud and should be portrayed as such, how they are now sounds real odd, almost arcade like. I understand game's just been released early access, but I'm curious if there's gonna be a sound change for some of the weapons. My only other critique with sound issues are the shotgun and LMG. Shotgun sounds too cut off and synthetic and the LMG sounds a bit too synthetic as well, almost sci-fi like. It would be nice to have more consistency with weapon flashlights, instead of turning off every time you switch weapons or perform other actions. They should stay on no matter what until you turn them off manually. Also wondering if there's plans to have weapons being on your person while also being dynamic. Example being your handgun is in an visible holster that it's pulled out of and your primary being either on your chest or back when your sidearm's equipped. Reinforcing should be way more urgent considering in a lot of cases the AAV has now moved up into the fight and the soldier just casually walks out while being shot, also the door not closing, just looks incredibly silly. Patches would be lovely as a small way to personalize yourself without completely changing appearances but identify groups or people. I completely understand if this is not in the plan as it would need to be monitored from explicit imagery and that would take staff and time from development.

This is feedback we've noted before, and I'll be sure to pass your comments along.

We've updated our aim preferences to include a "last selection" option, and we could potentially do the same for flashlights. I'll ask the team.

Thanks for the rest of these. We don't currently have plans for dynamic weapon placement, but I'll add this to the community wishlist, too.
