Hello!
After an 11 hour play session today, my only real feedback I have for the game is for people's microphones to be muted when the die.
Me and my friends essentially did this today, but it was self-imposed and sometimes we forgot to do it. Dead men don't speak! It's very jarring and surprising to figure out your buddy died and you're the only one left in the fight. It really adds to the gameplay. Also, we found that we tended out to call where we died from. Our self-imposed mic muting prevented that, keeping a semblance of surprise for when we did engage whoever killed our buddy.
I think that maybe a system could be set up where dead people could talk to each other, too. But I don't think that's too important. Just as long as their mic is muted for those that are alive.
I bought the game today and was glued to my seat for an 11.5 hours.... extremely engaging and fun! Thanks in advance to the development team!
Mic Mute Upon Death
Re: Mic Mute Upon Death
I’m kinda torn, on one hand it makes sense and is already a feature in other games where it works well. On the other hand being able to converse with people even if they’re out of the fight is a fun way to keep everyone engaged even if they’re not playing the game, and creates a good and social environment.
There are good and bad things about either option. Perhaps make it a lobby setting that the Fireteam Leader can change before going into a mission? That way people can choose which they want and can still utilize the in-game voip for comms after death without resorting to something like discord (which isn’t even really an option if you play with randos most of the time).
