INTERIOR LIGHTING NEEDS TO BE FIXED.

The lighting of the interiors has always been lousy in this game, without a doubt it is one of the worst things done. But since the last patch I'm noticing that's been ruined even more. Now inside the houses you can see ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, and the worst thing is that when you turn on the flashlight, it illuminates almost nothing. I've also noticed that when you play at night you get dazzled by your own flashlight when you turn it on. The flashlight generates too many reflections on the objects you shine it on, and that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to aim at anything from outside a house.

In short, when it's daytime you can't turn on the flashlight because it doesn't shine; when it's nighttime you can't turn it on either because it dazzles yourself; you can't point it from outside because it generates too many reflections. You can't do ANYTHING, and yet the insurgents still see you as if they have thermal vision even when you have the flashlight OFF.

The lighting is totally damaged in this game, you can't enter a house because you can't see anything.

Anyway, I think this is one of the most urgent things that needs to be fixed in this game. The lighting is so damaged that the game is practically unplayable when you have to go inside a house.

I hope they fix it soon.

I would agree that the flashlights are trash. I have gotten lost in a room on more than one occasion because they just don't light anything up (Inside, daytime). Have only played two missions at night so I can't really comment on that one. I do like the flares though.

There's another thread that touches on this also.

GRAPHICAL BUG REPORT - NITGHTIME

And ya, since the update, a lot harder to see with the light. Haven't decided yet whether is seems more realistic or not, (dust reflections) but it doesn't seem right in most cases.

I just replied to your thread on Steam, but to reiterate:

I want to make sure we're talking about the same issue: is it that flashlights aren't efficient enough or is it that interior lighting needs tweaking? Were things working prior to our Wargame Update?

It'd also be very helpful to get a video of what you guys are seeing. It's possible there's a bug here, but it's also possible this is subjective, too.

I plan on logging some game time tomorrow evening. I'll try to get some video for you.

Didn't look at this thread until after time to quit for the night, but from my perspective, the interior lighting is ok, but the flashlight changed.

There were already times, when you could get lost in a corner and see only black no matter which way you turned, I'm guessing that's tied to the wall clipping issues, but since Wargames update, there's more problems.

Unrealistic glare back from smoky rooms, (before it was hard too see in smoke, now it's blinding.)

Inconsistent beam in areas with the same lighting. Can't ID it any better than that, I'll work on a better description next time. But it will waver in and out, and some rooms where it ought to light well, it's dim.

If you have specific examples for us, please let us know. Screenshots or video will help us see what you guys are seeing.
