1.) One of the things that stood out in the gameplay teaser was the effect of lighting on the player. Being indoors looking out, the brightness was amplified because of how the eyes adjusted to the darkness. It was almost impossible to make out features outside in that trailer. When playing the game, the effect doesn't seem to exist anymore. Is there any discussion to bringing that back?
2.) Is there any chance you guys will implement more brightness, contrast dials? The game looks fine, but the lighting contrast seems quite low and we are unable to change it.
3.) Iraq was hot AF. Are there any plans to implement any sort of screen or environmental effects (like heat waves or amplified contrast) to represent that?

Re: Lighting Atmopsherics, Brightness/Contrast, Heat Effects
There has been a disturbing trend i have noticed for a decade now, and that is video games just not adding a contrast option, i got my color settings set up matched on with how they look on video, as I'm a video editor, so i have to adjust the contrast/gamma a bit when i play a game. So PLEASE do add a contrast and gamma option!
Re: Lighting Atmopsherics, Brightness/Contrast, Heat Effects
I have been asking for these to be added for a very long time now. 2026, and STILL not added. To get a good visual quality I need to re-adjust my Contrast AND gammas in the nVidia Control applet. I can almost get the game visuals just right in say..... morning/Clear in Train Station for example. But indoors goes to shiz.... and gets way too dark. And switching to Noon etc, the games visual fall apart. I cannot find even 1 setting where I can set it and leave it, and ALL game visuals no matter what time of day or what the Map/Mission is looks good.
Been gaming since the 90s.... never ever have I found a MilTac so hard to get the visuals and lighting settings right. .... than 6 Days. The thing is, at early release 6 Days looked great. But with successive updates, the Lighting consecutively has gotten worse and harder to get right. I`m on an OLED LG 45" 240 hz 800r monitor, and am wondering if the Devs are aware of the OLED users out there. ..... and are allowing for this hardware lighting adjustment wise.
EVERY other game I play = no issues. I notice visuals in alot of youtube vids the visuals are totally washed out by the harsh lighting. Is this how 6 Days is supposed to look? Because many of us tweak our Gammas so we can see vivid colors in the map environments, with crisp texture details. Once we get these just right, interiors in the day are too dark. And the Night Map Mission as well is too dark. Hope they get a Lighting Guy who can fix this, cause it is THE 1 area keeping me from enjoying this Game.

I know we spoke briefly on Discord about lighting in the next update, and we'll absolutely have improvements. But, it'd be great to know exactly what you're looking for when it comes to the game's lighting? What does it mean to get the lighting "right"?Shai`tan wrote: Sat Jul 04, 2026 10:24 am I have been asking for these to be added for a very long time now. 2026, and STILL not added. I don't have any problem with the lighting and I don't need to make any graphical adjustments before playing. Indoor settings challenge you nicely with some darkness and when you go outside it can take a second for "your game eyes to adjust".
