Thx for the game !
But ...
My first impressions oscillate between an immersive and totally unrealistic experience depending on the situation, which makes the gameplay quite atypical in terms of simulation and very unpredictable.
While the inherent slowness of movement while wearing combat gear can be justified most of the time, it lacks an essential and basic movement that is almost instinctive even. I am particularly thinking of the ability to lie down / dive on the ground even for protection or simply to ensure an accurate shot
.
Also concerning movement and interaction with certain elements of the environment, it is sometimes frustrating to be sometimes blocked by simple rubble on the ground barely a few centimeters high or to be forced to make a detour even if it means put yourself in a dangerous position to avoid a simple object that could simply be pushed to progress in safety.
In the same spirit of "strange" movements or reactions, the loss of control / interruption during the impacts of the shots seem disproportionate over time, at least in the context of a game, especially since very often the insurgents sometimes only carry a simple shirt do not suffer any penalties in their action when they receive shots (how many times, we see them continue to run from behind without even slowing down while receiving shots).
We can justify this by fanaticism and the sometimes kamikaze spirit pushing to "forget" the shots but I doubt that the developers take into consideration the psychological aspect or the stress to penalize or not certain actions of the antagonists. An aspect of fps which also might one day deserve an interesting development.
However, the feeling remains very positive overall, with in particular the excellent procedural system of the maps, which is perfectly adapted to this environment.
In short, a very promising future ... in a few 6 days maybe !
