3/4 fireteams on the map
3/4 fireteams on the map at all times clearing different objectives would make this really really awesome. Fire team leaders could communicate and even one or better, two squad leader humvees with a gunner position that could be manned would make it absolute butter. I would be nuts for the game under these circumstances. In general, a bit larger fire teams seems more realistic as well.

2 squads, 4 fireteams, 2 squad leaders each with a humvee with a gunner position, all 4 fireteams get to do a mission on the same map, squad leaders call in fire support and provide a base of fire for the fireteams, moving their humvees into tactical positions. would be an ideal game, fucking masterpiece if you ask me.

Re: 3/4 fireteams on the map
I'd like as many friendly units as possible, in both coop and single player campaign. In reality, you are not clearing city blocks with just 4 dudes. As for difficulty and challenge, imo it can be maintained if you give the enemy realistic abilities, ie hiding under beds and in closets, setting traps, IEDs, mines, etc. Maybe tweak them so they are more barricaded and less likely to run out into the open. With clever enemies like that, I think you could go up to 13 teammates and still feel quite challenged. I just got done with a session where the map generated a chokepoint at the top of the stairs where barricaded enemies using bookshelves were firing from all side, entire team was destroyed, we got through this the second try by lobbing grenades up there beforehand. And this was just one building in the entire level. If you extrapolate this kind of ai populated throughout the map, a platoon sized element of USMC is still going to be quite tough to get through

I agree, AI hiding under beds and closets and needing to double tap corpses is ideal. Fortunately a dev told me in discord that what I mentioned is their vision for the game.
Re: 3/4 fireteams on the map
If you want it as realistic as possible:
Marine squad: 13 Marines total = 1 Squad Leader and three fireteams.
Army squad: 9 Soldiers total, one Squad Leader and two fireteams.
Each fireteam is 4 people like we have in current game, and each fireteam usually has 1 fireteam leader, 1 automatic rifleman, 1 grenadier and 1 either a regular rifleman or assistant auto rifleman. Sometimes, like in game, the Team Leader has a grenade launcher instead of a dedicated guy.
Personally I like the idea if they can go up to 13 players where one of us is the squad leader, and two of us can be fireteam leads, and the others can fill in as the other 6 grunts. Because even in the game, they call you out on the radio as "1st squad, blah blah blah"
If they can go crazy and move to a platoon formation co-op, you can do 3 regular infantry squads of 13 each, for 39 plus one weapons and hq squad with another 11 or something to make a nice even 50 players. the 11 in HQ can include the Platoon commander, the platoon sergeant, corpsman and maybe heavier weapons like 240b's.

Thanks for this guys.
Nothing to confirm on this right now, but we're aware the community wants to see more friendly activity in missions.

Re: 3/4 fireteams on the map
Having played mods for Ready or Not, 8-10 feels really good for these types of small maps. Anything more than that and it starts feeling a bit more cluttered. And the map sizes seem to be about the same size as Ready or Not. Honestly, 4 seems to little for now and I hope they at least allow 6-7 players if programming limitations allow for it.

I definitely think that having 8 people or two fireteams would really do it! That way it's not too many people, but you also have enough to get into multiple places
