Will it be possible to adjust the volume of the gun sounds, Amper? Having experienced hearing damage is kinda tiresome, a slider where separate gun sounds to other sfx would be similar to wearing Peltor Comtacs, where you can hear your surroundings but gun shots decibels are barely audible.AmperCamper wrote: ↑Tue Jan 04, 2022 6:22 amIt's a good question, so thank you for asking.Kean_1 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 12:47 pm ....kind of off topic from this thread but still on the subject of audio design, if you folks do include a "ringing ear" effect from flashbangs, explosions, etc., please offer an option to turn it off. Can't tell you how bothersome that is for those of us with tinnitus. For me it can cause flare ups when watching a movie or playing a game that has this if it's prolonged.
I have played games that actually have an option to turn it off and have been really grateful for it.
Yes, we plan to have this effect toggleable.

Re: Audio Design
I don't believe this is planned over having an overall volume slider, but we'll keep it in mind.BadKarma wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 5:53 am Will it be possible to adjust the volume of the gun sounds, Amper? Ran into an article late last year talking about how the average Marine grunt will be "swapping earplugs for 21st century hearing protection" over the next 2 years.
Re: Audio Design
I don't think so, most likely the tier one units would have likely had them, and even then, they themselves don't have access to stuff that hasn't been created yet.Kean_1 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 11:25 amDid the average infantryman have access to electronic earpro 20 years ago?BadKarma wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 5:53 am

I got out 2 years ago, and we were only just then switching over to the fancier stuff. Till then, it was plastic. And we usually dumped em for the foamies.Kean_1 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 11:25 amDid the average infantryman have access to electronic earpro 20 years ago?BadKarma wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 5:53 am
