I have over 70 hours with the game. I think hands down the biggest pet peeve is getting forced into this locked lean. For some reason maybe a third of the time if I am close to wall, then it locks me to the wall and it's impossible to drag my weapon in time.
Also, yes auto lean is turned off. The first setting I ever changed. There is something wrong with the game itself where it sticks you to these structures.

Re: LEAN
This could be a bug, so let me double-check with the team on this. If you have video of this in your playtime, too, that'd be super helpful!

Here's a video that attempts to depict a bug I found, as well as the above bug (respectively).
- Lean Stick: If you lean left, release, and quickly lean right, you get stuck leaning to the left. Vice Versa.
- Auto-Lean "Sticky": A bug can occur when you approach a corner that prevents you from looking around the corner. You can turn in the other direction, but obviously, this makes CQB much harder when you can't reliably check around corners quickly. The second clip in the video depicts this. You'll see the first time I'm able to look far left around the corner. The second time I approach the corner, I can't turn even halfway, and I have to shake the camera to break the "stick". Same deal with the third attempt. I'm still trying to figure out what EXACTLY is causing this, but I think it has to do with approaching a corner, leaning, then moving around the corner. Auto-Lean is OFF.

Re: LEAN
I believe that is your character hitting the wall on the left and actually interacting with it.SweetJP wrote: ↑Sun Jul 09, 2023 7:46 am https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Vdu9te ... el=SweetJP

Re: LEAN
Thanks for the video. Yes, there's definitely some functionality happening with walls despite auto-lean being turned off.
I'll get this reported.
