IED Disarming

I imagine someone has brought it to your attention. But a very common problem is the IED's bugging out and unable to disarm in the Sniper mission to free Beowolf.

Yeah I've seen this being discussed on Discord as well. I'd like to share my experience here too, since Forums are much slower moving and easily followed than the fast-paced Discord discussions...BowhunterVP wrote: ↑Thu Jun 29, 2023 11:05 pm I imagine someone has brought it to your attention. So this happened again over the weekend. and it happened to me so I can share with my experience. I'll start with what transpired followed by what I think caused it...AmperCamper wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 11:08 am Yes, we're seeing a few reports on this but they're few and far in between. Are you guys seeing this every time you run Apartments?
THE WHAT I THINK (Uh'oh!) HAPPENEDThe team defused all IEDs except the last one. So if I remember correctly, there'll always be 4 IEDs you need to defuse. So we've done 3, and looking for the last one. If it's 5 total, then just take it as X-1. Okay, moving on...
On the highest row of apartments, we came across an IED that cannot be defused somewhere nearer to the staircase. We decided to just carry on and clear the entire building as practice. In the last apartment, the one furthest from the stairs, we found another IED. This IED is peculiar in the sense that the 2D sprite (the one that tells you "F to Disarm") was all over the place. It was towards the edges of the screen, and not the IED. Once I positioned myself correctly, and pressed [F], it teleported me to another part of the room. Then we got the "All IEDs defused" comms and proceeded to complete the mission.
Game AI Director spawned an extra IED asset that is not part of the objective pool. It has the complete beeping sound and lights but is not defusable as it's not part of the 0/4 IED Disarmed objective. Can't know for sure without the debug tool.
Really? I think you guys maybe aren't playing this game. Me, my friend and whatever I play on matchmaking have this problem since the day one. Basically everytime. It's exactly the same problem on mortars.AmperCamper wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 11:08 am Yes, we're seeing a few reports on this but they're few and far in between. Sometimes mortars and IEDs keep beeping or working after someone try to disable it. So another player needs to do the job. And IEDs keep beeping.
I would say that it happens 90% of times. It's such an outrageous thing that I swore everyone, including dev team, already knew about it and was working on it.
I think theses numbers are amazingly correct. I have some videos here from the last gameplay. Both mortars and IEDs. The exactly problem that we have described.MRTINK wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 10:09 am100% this.rodrigoxm49 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 7:28 amReally? I think you guys maybe aren't playing this game. It happens in about 90% of the games. After hitting F on the first 2 you can press left ALT and it will say 2 remaining. Press F on the 3rd and it will say 1 remaining. All without any defusal animation. And more than 50% of the time the mortars can not be kicked down. (The mortars are an issue on any map/objective)
