Difficulty Levels, Co-op Modes, PvP and some thoughts

First of all, congratulations on such a fantastic game! I've been playing tactical shooters since the original Ghost Recon and I don't think I've ever had this much fun in a shooter. The realism and fierce difficulty make this game a blast to play.

You've created something really good here and I think you need to maximize its impact on the gaming community by leveraging the core game to appeal to as many gamers as possible. I think that would entail adding some different co-op modes and adding PvP. Obviously, you're going to be adding more co-op missions but I don't think that will give it the "legs" its deserves nor (obviously) reach the significant part of the gaming community that doesn't enjoy playing against "dumb" bots.

I also think you need to give us the ability to increase the difficulty. People will get very good very quickly and require more challenge from the game. I played with a good team and we completed three missions in a row.

I think that, by far, the biggest criticism of the game will be the lack of customization. I'm not saying that you should turn this game into Ground Branch but a little more flexibility in loadouts as well as who gets what role would be a big crowd-pleaser.

Again, congratz on an incredible game!

Re: Difficulty Levels, Co-op Modes, PvP and some thoughts

Very well written, I wanted to tag on and discuss. From the website/FAQ you will not be able to play as the terrorists (and rightfully so), because of this I'd find it impossible to see how pvp could be accomplished. Another additive I've been reading is that the experience is highly cooperative by nature.

As for customization, this is a very heated discussion on the discord, as you mentioned. Personally so an "IMO" statement. I could live without it, if they were however to ask what would be beneficial I would reference Arma 3s character head model. (No weird face paints/tattoos). A simple change of skin tone would suffice.

If I was to say something for a cosmetic side, I would say to ask verified fallujah veterans what they and others could do and did do, along with unit SOPs. Yes it would be limited, but it would give the people something, but let's be fair, some people will complain about the shape of a circle begin to round if given the opportunity.

Why do I hold such limit to these areas? Well I do hope the devs stay on the current path and if they do anything like "customization" is some aforementioned above or similar to what was similarly pitched in discord. But to really say why, because from what the developers through there own interactions, website, and other communications have lead myself atleast ro believe is

This game "Six Days In Fallujah" is not just a passion project, but a project created to give light to what occurred there. The harsh realities, the trauma, the horror that these veterans, Iraqis and others endured. They've developed this game to be as near hyper realistic as possible giving this experience and doing this while continue to avoid dishonoring/disrespecting the sacrifices made. Yet, we can only experience this '04 event in a game, some members/players are reliving their own experience/trauma to play this game as I had recently spoken to one.

For this reason, and I could have definitely made it longer as being a Veteran myself I feel passionate about this. But I do hope it sheds some light on why things like PVP would be negative in hindsight and if not kept as as close to actuality might pull from the reality/immersion.

I don't mean to go on a tangent, I can at times. For the sack of re reading your customization part, and sack of a "loadout" I could get behind realistic selections like "If you want an extra grenade you loose two mags" or something like this. I would argue against weapons swaps or deviation from kits/roles (if I miss read something. Then this would be for someone who wants weapon swaps) because in the real world you have/had these specific roles, each unique and as even a quote says (slightly outta context), once you identify how to use them properly it will improve the team overall.

Re: Difficulty Levels, Co-op Modes, PvP and some thoughts

I hear you about how this game is REALLY trying to strive for realism. So, yes, I can relate to what you're saying. And yes, I hope this game doesn't morph into another Insurgency Sandstorm (which is a great game and one that my group plays constantly). And yes, I hope that the dev team DOES NOT accommodate many suggestions made by the community. I say that because this game has a VERY unique (and wonderful) feel to it that I hope does not get lost with the addition of countless options. IMHO, that would really water down the game's uniqueness. Honestly, this game has a feel to it that I have not experienced before.
