Weapon jamming and clearing, bipod deployment, going prone
Subject says it all, but yeah, these would be great features for a title like this. A loss of accuracy at a certain range on the point firing with the front post would be good as well.

AmperCamper recently address the prone interest.....

Weapon jamming is not planned but it also not something they have been open to taking as a suggestion from what I've seen.
Same with bipods.... The suggestion is welcome but as with the prone idea, players will be on the move so it's not likely it will be an option that would be used very often but who knows. Perhaps it will be added down the road.

After about 3 hours of playing....I really don't want a feature like this anymore. I used to be for it, but fighting with what you got is already intense and precarious as it is.

Yeah, I can imagine such a mechanic would be frustrating in a game like this to say the least. There is already such a small margin for error. Losing a mission due to a randomized weapon malfunction completely out of your control would be a huge annoyance for me.staropal0972 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 10:12 am After about 3 hours of playing....I really don't want a feature like this anymore. I wrote out lengthy reply in another thread on the subject giving my two cents on the subject but (for me at least), it really wouldn't add to the immersion in a game like this. Besides, IRL, there are many factors that can play a role in malfunctions. Having a randomized event occur based on causes which you have no control over (e.g. maintenance, bad mag, ammo, etc.) would be (again) really frustrating IMO.
....something else of interest, one of the vets here even chimed in on the topic stating that he could count on one hand how many times his weapon failed him during his time there.

I disagree, I feel that losing a mission to something out of your control like a weapon malfunction is part of what makes the milsim genre unique and I think MANY of the people interested in this game would agree. Thats exactly why people play arma etc. Prone and bipods should 100% be a thing, there is no reason you can't fire and maneuver with bipods and the ability to go prone. I do it all the time in other milsims.Kean_1 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 22, 2023 11:32 amYeah, I can imagine such a mechanic would be frustrating in a game like this to say the least.
