Not at the moment, but I'll be sure to add this to our wishlist. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

A great idea, but not necessary either. For missions like in these ones I feel it wouldn't get used too often provided people don't spam the fire button.

What would be interesting if you go down that route would be to allow a member of the team to have more mag pouches or a pack that can be stuffed with spare mags or frags. Basically, one character could act as a mule for the fireteam. Could be the automatic gunner or even the PFC. If I remember right, you're implementing AAV's that act as ASP's. If the ammo carrier runs totally dry he could conduct an ammo run to the ASP. Buddy pairs of course.

Re: Teamwork?

Considering that AAVs or LAVs will be there for resupply, not really needed.

To be honest, it's hard for me to say whether I would see this type of addition worth the time or not.

I think you would really need to take the whole ammo management system into consideration. Personally, I'm hoping for deeper mechanics considering ammo counts based on magazines, the ability to retain partially used ones, etc. ....which then go to the back of the rotation.

How much ammo will players be given prior to a mission and is there a valid concern for regulating what you got? Will there be instances where the player(s) are in situations where they can be pinned down for a period, etc. that could seriously impact ammo management? Will players be able to choose how much ammo they bring perhaps tied to a weight system for their kit? How accessible will the replenishment be (e.g. LAVs, etc.) and is it only at the start of a mission?

Beyond that, I can certainly see the value in being able to share mags between players although I would hope caliber / application would be a factor. As for AI when playing solo, I would only see it being a fun addition if their ammo supply is finite as well.

To me, the additional concern of managing your ammo really helps add to the tension. .....adds another layer of depth to the combat. If there is no worry that you'll run out if you're careless, then what's the point? ....IMO.

Great questions, Kean. For now, spraying bullets will most certainly cause you to run out. And, our current LAV resupply only works if you can actually make it to the LAV. The conscious decision to conserve ammunition and stay on mission or be reckless with your bullets, causing you to back-track or go off-course is something players are going to have to decide for themselves. I'm sure we'll see this evolve over time, too.

In either case, your decisions could jeopardize mission success.

I believe then having the ability to carry extra rounds to prevent such a move could be an option as well. Though I have to ask, has the idea of an ammo run been raised? Say, if ammo was running seriously dry TL would have to get on the horn and ask for it. Afterwards, move guys to a predesignated point to meet HQ guys in a Humvee or something. And if you don't arrive by a certain amount of time after their arrival they'll leave.

This is more-or-less how it works in the game right now, except the LAV isn't necessarily going to leave. But, depending on how players move through missions, you'll certainly find some distance between your team and the closest resupply.

So essentially, you will disembark rom the LAV and it will remain there for resupply and eventual exfil once the objective(s) is completed? ....makes sense.
