Release date?

So is Six Days still coming out in december 2022? I understand that it takes a lot efford to make game perfect, but december is only half a month away and there hasnt been any updates.

I wouldn't count on it my guy. In fact, the answer is undoubtedly no. We’re actually waiting for a delay announcement to potentially release in December.

The game never had a December release date or any hard date for that matter. It had an anticipated release for Q422 but that is most certainly being pushed out to 2023 given the progress reports we've been given.

As @aggimajera mentioned, I would likely expect an update on that front before the end of the year. .....maybe in conjunction with the next SITREP to soften the blow.

This is a relatively small studio with a limited pool of developers so little speed bumps that AAA companies might be able to shrug off and throw more resources at, for a small dev team they simply don't have that luxury. The folks working on SDiF are also facing other challenges with this game and just want to get it right. Success or failure of this game will have a big impact.

Re: Release date?

I shared an update here that provides a bit of context around our release timings (please give this a read when you get a chance). 2023 is looking more likely, but we want to be sure we can finalize a few more components before stamping an official release date for everyone.

I always appreciate you sharing this reminder, Kean. I couldn't have said it better, so thank you.

Not a problem.

I am a big fan of independent / small studios who are bringing these types of games to the console market that have been lacking in this type of genre for so long. Studios that recognize the fact that there is indeed a segment of the gaming community on console that are starving for this kind of content. .....a relatively untapped market.

I've said it before but I believe we have been on the verge of a renaissance of sorts for milsim-like titles that until more recently, only PC gamers have been able to enjoy.

There have been some notable games in the past on console that leaned more toward the authentic experience but were slowly "dumbed down" along the way or just disappeared. Franchises that exist today that are a just a shell of what they used to be. IPs like the Tom Clancy brand for example don't even represent what they used to. ....what people automatically expected from a game carrying the name.

Anyhow, I was glad to see you folks bringing this game back from the dead and really happy now that it's made it this far. I'm excited for the release but also appreciative that the team is dedicated to taking the time they need to get it right.

I just want to know how I can get involved with alpha testing and development. I don't have much coding experience but I'm willing to help test client-server issues.

On the player-facing side, we'll be hosting a series of beta tests to ensure we squash bugs and incorporate feedback that's been shared been with us across our channels. We know you guys are anxious to get your hands on the game, and we'll update you as soon as we have these dates finalized. Professionally, we're always looking for members to join our team. Feel free to check out our job listings!

Hopefully December of 2023.. take all the time in the world. So many flops this year because everyone wants to rush out a title.

Re: Release date?

I've had more fun with games by smaller developers for years. Tend to think more outside the box

Re: Release date?

I also like games from a small studio more, I think they don't think so standard, they always have something interesting. <removed - AmperCamper - promotion>
