While I think most people here aware of the game's history, I thought it would still be interesting to share this video by GVMERS that details the troubled time of the original game during its initial announcement.
Another source which details the development of the original game can be found in Nathan Cheever's website since he was the lead mission designer. http://www.curiousconstructs.com/games/sdif/

Loved the GVMERS documentary on the original Six Days. We were actually discussing it in the fan made discord a couple nights ago.Tan_47 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 1:15 pm While I think most people here aware of the game's history, I thought it would still be interesting to share this video by GVMERS that details the troubled time of the original game during its initial announcement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqNvf2gcoys

GVMERS does some quality work with their video game documentaries.

If you haven't done it yet, I'd recommend checking out Nathan Cheever's website as it has a lot of details regarding the development of the original game. http://www.curiousconstructs.com/games/sdif/

I see that from the videos uploaded by Tan_47, it seems that the original game was planned in the third person, it also looks good, the camera on the shoulder also looks immersive.
This could reopen the debate of implementing the two views in play, leaving the player to choose which one they prefer to play with.
Regards.

The original game was in fact supposed to be TPPEseicos wrote: ↑Wed Mar 31, 2021 12:57 am I see that from the videos uploaded by Tan_47, it seems that the original game was planned in the third person, it also looks good, the camera on the shoulder also looks immersive.

However, I do see where you're coming from, but I do not see them budging from the stance that the game will be strictly in first person as it takes away from the delivery of the game.
Re: Sources on the History of Six Days in Fallujah
I found a potentially brand new unseen footage of the original game. Keep in mind, the footage is extremely rough and clearly wasn't meant for the public.
