On the topic of game preservation.

This is more of a COOP subject, but if some of you read the news, Ubisoft is pulling the plug on various of their game servers, which is both sad but understandable, still I'm more on the side of preserving videogames and their significance on history.

Eventually this will also probably happen to Six Days but let me give you one example of how to circumvent this issue:

Older but in my opinion as of 2022 now considered old school games like Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 and 2, you could host your own matches, the servers went eventually down but still, as long as you could host a game you could play as long as you want, this is still true as of today.

Basically, games back then weren't the "always online" services that we have today, I figured I should have posted this in suggestions but it's an interesting topic, that is prevalent all over the gaming industry, especially in Japan.

As a fun fact, I know there are devs in Highwire that worked on Red Storm Entertainment, very good memories.

Anyways, sorry for the long paragraphs and I hope they weren't too long. It's just that I would like to keep the piece of history that will be Six Days for newer generations to experience.

Thank you, have a good one and be safe y'all.

I think this is a fabulous idea, way too many games rely on live services and shutdown with no possibility to revisit multiplayer years down the line. SDIF should have this kind of feature.
