Trainers & Mods

What is Victura's stance in regards to mods & trainers?

I know there's not gonna be any support for them in the near future, but since the game is using the Unreal engine people will mod it — support or no support.

As it's not PvP, cheating shouldn't really be an issue, so will we be allowed to discuss any mods here, or what's the official attitude towards modding at this point?

Re: Trainers & Mods

Hey, thanks for asking this.

On one hand, we're really excited about the clever things players might do with the project. With that being said, we generally want to discourage modding the game due to the importance of maintaining appropriate respect for the subject matter. Nevertheless, we’re giving this more thought.

I understand that you wouldn't want somebody to turn this into a zombie shooter, but there are a lot of game tweaks that could easily be done via mods, which wouldn't really affect the fundamental gameplay (e.g. disabling those countdown timers that a lot of people are unhappy with).
If modding were approved, the community could tweak the minor annoyances, while you guys can concentrate on the bigger picture.

I'm a big proponent of mods but I can see (and respect) how this doesn't align with Victura's vision and goals for this game.
