Re: Jump button.
Yep exactly, the only time we jump is during a patrol when we come across a creek/waterway because we don’t want to get our boots wet. And this is more a running long jump then a vertical jump.

Re: NVG’s?
Yeah the AN/PVS 7’s sucked. The AN/PVS 14’s and AN/PVS 17’s we got in 03 and 04 were actually good but maybe they were new at that time. 17’s of course because they have magnification are worthless indoors and the 14’s we needed to use the IR flashlight on them or the PEQ-2 IR flashlight when indoor...

Re: Still waiting for news...
Yeah some weapons renders would be welcome or they could release a weapons list. We know they have M16A4 and the SAW but I’m at least hoping for the M240 and maybe the ability to call mortars. Some weapons might depend on if there is building destruction like the Army’s 120mm mortars and the SMAW an...

Re: Make optics/sights realistic! (ACOGs, MARS, etc.)
I also recall the chevron was the only part red and illuminated, the whole elevation notches would have been black and not illuminated. It looks that the new ones have the top of the elevation red and illuminated so this would be the other minor difference.

Re: Make optics/sights realistic! (ACOGs, etc.)
One correction with the ACOG’s in the screenshot is we didn’t have the horizontal notches on the ones we had in 2004 those came in 2005. Marine Corps Force Recon had Aimpoint red dot reflex sights on their M4’s in 2002 so it’s highly likely they still used them in 2004. They did use a different moun...

Re: AI/Breaching tactics
Probably also should include the thermobaric SMAW round as well. I do hope building destruction is in this game as it is very important. Snipers would also knock out a loophole in the wall for their firing positions which would require building destruction. Also about the Javelin missile, this can l...

Re: Question about the appearance of the gear.
It would depend on the battalion but we had the desert tan flak jackets (this being 2/1 during the First Battle of Fallujah) But I seen a photo of 1/5 and they had the woodland flak jacket during the First Battle of Fallujah. Same might apply for 3/1, 1/8, 3/5, & 1/3 during the Second Battle of ...

Re: Reloads, round management, and weapon malfunction
Speaking only for myself, my M16A4 never jammed or had a double feed during the 1st Battle of Fallujah and during the summer of 2004 in the Fallujah AO. Never recall having the M16A2 having a problem either. Mk 19 is another story if this is even included in the game, the one we had jammed or had a ...

Re: Details on weapons and attachments
optics were far and few between While I can only speak for the company I served with during the 1st Battle of Fallujah (2/1 Golf Co.) optics were not few and far between. Almost all 0311 (rifleman) had ACOGs with the exception of the SAW gunners. So that’s 1st, 2nd, and 3rd platoons. Weapons platoo...
