Re: WTAF!?!?
Unpopular opinion - I don't believe he's wrong. Not really. His thoughts on releasing in Early Access, the lack of any single-player content shown, and the dangers of the games failure are true. I think releasing in early access is a mistake and a half. I wholeheartedly wish it wasn't. It shows us t...

Re: Adjustments to “over the sight” shooting
Agreed with absent. Aiming like that with a front sight post will cause high impact any anything beyond close range. You’d need to aim very, very low to accurately impact like that outside of close quarters. In that case, rear sights. This actually should be looked at immediately. Almost every gamep...

Re: Adjustments to “over the sight” shooting
So one of the things I noticed in the new gameplay videos is the Marines aiming over their sights. I asked a friend who was in the Marines about it and he said that is how they were trained to shoot with M16’s in CQC, but at anything beyond close range it was very inaccurate. However, in the videos...

Re: Community Treat

Re: Picking up Insurgent Weapons
Nah, this got discussed before. I used to think maybe it should be included, but I've changed my mind since then. Picking up an AK to use in a situation like that would be impractical and possibly dangerous. Admittedly it would be cool to pick up an RPG left behind to use against insurgents (that ha...

Re: Difficulty Level
Personally, I really would hate to see the game "dumbed down" but I can also appreciate that it may turn otherwise interested players away if it's simply too difficult for them. The issue is not whether it should be "dumbed down" or not, but whether the difficulty level is reali...

Freeing Weapon from Camera Perspective Axis - Dust Question
1.) One of the things I see in the gameplay footage is how when the camera moves quickly, the weapon model in the players hand remains fixed in place. In many shooters these days, when the camera is moved, the weapon either leads the movement of the camera, or lags slightly behind. The best example ...

Taking a Leap of Faith With Early Access
The team at Highwire really seems to care about what they're doing with this game. No one else out there is trying to make a game like yours, and every one of you are placing yourselves in a difficult position in the face of the cancel culture mob. Your game will grow, and out of the woodwork will c...
