Re: Tracer Rounds
So…. This one really caught my eye after watching gameplay footage. In the Video by controlled pairs gaming I noticed very obvious “tracer” lines. Having shot many weapons of many different calibers tracers are really only good for long distance and are rarely used in squad weapons. M249 being an e...

Re: Difficulty Level
After having watched all the pre-release gameplay videos posted by those veterans, and seeing them fail left and right, I'm starting to worry about about the difficulty level of this game. After all, these are trained and experienced pros. They survived the real thing, and they should be able to su...

Re: Collectors Edition?
Suggestion: if you do decide to make a collectors edition for this project, consider making a challenge coin. I've designed one for my unit it was very easy. All I had to do was contact someone who is able to mint coins and then submit my design to them. I've attached a photo of the challenge coin I...

Outstanding! With that knowledge it sounds like if there is a button one can use to activate the VLI then one can utilize the strobing method in game!As for our flashlights, they do give away positioning as enemy AI will react accordingly.

Considerations for authenticity.
First off I want to say how amazing the gameplay footage from the Jolan district looks. You guys really knocked it out of the park. You can see how the terrain was decimated by the boys from 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment during earlier engagements in Operation Vigilant Resolve prior to it becom...

Inconsistencies with issued gear and strobing as a tactic with white light.
Good afternoon, I just saw the 3 new gameplay videos of Veterans playing 6DiF. I just want to point out that SAW gunners, Squad leaders, and Team leaders were not issued the M9 Beretta. The M9 Beretta was only issued to the Platoon Commander and our Navy Corpsmen. That being said, when we were a rei...

Re: The Personal Armor Thread — Conceptualizations
No not that I recall. I was a pointman and a DM and never once did it cross my mind that my SAPI won't stop the caliber of rounds our enemies were using.
When you're first in the stack your mind isn't thinking about your short comings rather, your mind is on speed, surprise, and violence of action.

Re: The Personal Armor Thread — Conceptualizations
They didn't issue you guys plates that would stop one the most common rifle round calibers in non-NATO weaponry until 2005? What was the attitude about that among the 03's? Were guys pissed since AKM's were still so popular? [/quote] Nope, at least not in my unit. It could be different for the othe...

Re: The Personal Armor Thread — Conceptualizations
In 2004 our SAPI plates only stopped 5.56. We didn't receive the new SAPI plates that stopped 7.62 armor piercing rounds until 2005.KoishiVibe wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 9:36 pm It's 2004 and plates are not as durable as they are today. These are monolithic plates backed up by soft armor, tested for three hits of 7,62x51mm

Re: Subscription notifications
They don't work for me either. I check the forums regularly for updates. But very rarely do I do so logged in. Apparently a member of the forum sent me a PM and I never read it since I haven't logged in since before the new year.
Hopefully this gets fixed.
