Re: Marty O' Donnell reportedly facing legal battle, will it conflict with SDIF development?

No, Six Days is not cancelled. We're still hard at work on our project. Thank you for the assurances, but I'm more concerned about O'Donnell. Is he still in involved in making the game, or has he quit to deal with his legal stuff (he mentioned in a deleted tweet that he is thinking about retiring f...

Addition of an off-topic section on the forum

There's a lot of interesting stuff about the Iraq War and the modern US military in general that doesn't really relate to the game, but may have affected the actual battle. Having a place to discuss this could be cool and get people more interested in the history of the battle.

Re: Will there be regenerating health?

Unfortunately this is one of the places where realistic portrayal and the fact that its a game really butt heads. I've always appreciated the way the old America's Army game handled injuries. If the injury isn't immediately fatal to the player then you have to treat it, usually requiring a corpsman...

Re: FPS only or can you switch to 3rd person also

The original game in 2009 was supposed 3rd person, but I think they have firmly moved on to 1st person for release. I don't know about calling in airstrikes. If I were to go off my gut, I'd say no as this appears to be a game focused on CQC in streets and buildings, but there has been no official st...

A graphical issue in one of trailers

Someone on the Steam forum brought up a possible graphical issue relating to the chinstraps on helmets of soldiers. https://assets-global.website-files.com/5ffc95f07e6b467ddb648214/60234401ada8b46523757a8f_SDIF_BreachStack_1080p.jpg As shown by the image here, it seems like the sides of the chinstra...

Re: Is this going to be linear?

That depends on you definition of linear. The campaign appears to be split into missions that each tell an individual story, so its linear in the sense that it has levels like a regular FPS. However, each level is randomly generated at the start and every time you die, so each mission is different e...

Re: Suggestion Stadia Platform

The idea sounds cool, but I don’t know if it’s worth it for the dev to develop a version of the game for a platform that’s already dead. It already has a platform on PC (Steam), so making another version for Google’s dumpster fire of a service would be redundant. Plus I don’t know how willing Google...

Re: IEDs

While I personally liked Hurt Locker, Recon is right. It is inaccurate in many instances. A better and much more accurate portrayal of the Iraq war would be HBO's Generation Kill. I highly recommend it if you want to get a clear and accurate picture of the initial US invasion into Iraq.

Thank you for the thank you button!

It’s really great to have a simple way of telling people thanks. People aren’t very polite on Internet forums, so a dev going out of their way to add a feature that makes it easy is refreshing. Mad respect to whoever thought of it.
